Enterprise Architecture Roadmaps.

HCG has found clients goals and objectives can be represented in the EA Roadmap relative to four perspectives: Business, Application, Information and Technology. HCG combines these four perspectives into one cohesive EA Roadmap for the client detailing the current state of the enterprise architecture and creates a future architectural vision. The Roadmap serves to inform many areas of the client's organization about available enterprise tools, services and standards as well as their future. The approach HCG takes in preparing EA Roadmaps is unique to each customer and expectations are set in the initial meetings. The resulting EA Roadmap provides the following:

Current State Assessment: Details the artifacts produced as part of the HCG's Roadmap's discovery process which will outline the Current State of the organization's EA. The artifacts are derived by review of documents, interviews and information gathering.

Future State: Specific to each engagement, this section of the Roadmap is a forward looking summary of the Technology Standards, Business Strategies and a Future "State" Services Matrix. These are then put together and represented in the Future State Logical Architectural Diagram.

Strategy and Implementation: Details the building blocks of the organization's Future Enterprise Architecture. This section also includes a list of the organization's initiatives associated with the Roadmap.  This helps prioritize and guide implementation to keep focused on achieving the desired end-state while achieving both the short and long term goals.

Established/Evolutionary: Details the artifacts which will support the organization's Enterprise Architecture through its various stages. This includes the Enterprise Data Model, Architectural Review Process, Architectural Principles and IT Governance Process.
